Floating Notifications App

There is no doubt that one of the things that makes Android awesome is the near customizations that you can have on your device. Many of those are coming from developers who are innovating aspects of Android. Although Facebook Home has been a bit of a disasters, Chat Heads has actually been an inspiration to the developer community. The floating bubble heads has inspired many new developers to build apps that use the concept. Paranoid Android is incorporating it into their ROM as Halo and taking the concept to a whole new level. Now we also have Floating Notifications by Rob J which brings you notifications in Chat Head like floating bubbles.

The Floating Notifications app has been in beta but is now just released with a 30-day trial version. Plenty of time to test the app and see if it’s worth the $1.99 to spend on it. Using this app, your notifications will now appear in a floating bubble just like the Facebook Chat Heads. You can move the floating bubble anywhere on your screen. Tapping it once will display the content appear or make it disappear. You can also double tap to remove the notification all together. If you tap the content then the app will launch and the notification will disappear as well.

What’s also great about the app is that you have some customization. You can actually choose specific apps that receive notifications via Floating Notification or all by not choosing any. You can even customize the size, color, theme, and font size of the notifications. The notification appear while any app is running and that includes full screen. It’s a pretty efficient way to multi-task. I think the concept of the floating bubbles that Facebook introduced was a great idea and developers are now taking the next steps with it. I hope we see more apps like this in the Play Store. Go ahead and checkout Floating notifications and let us know what you think.
