Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Pricing and Launch

Samsung has finally revealed pricing and launch of the 7 and 10 inch Galaxy Tab 2. The 7 inch tablet will be released on April 22 for $250 and the 10.1 on May 13 for $400. Now you may be asking what’s so interesting about the Galaxy Tab 2 and should I ditch my original Galaxy Tab. Well, unfortunately the answer is that there isn’t any real hardware improvement on the new Tab 2. Basically, Samsung decided that instead of upgrading the original Tab to the latest Ice Cream Sandwich software they would release a new device. This means that the original Tab owner will not be getting Ice Cream Sandwich (insert groan).

I personally think this is a crappy move on Samsung specially since I own a Galaxy Tab. The least they could have done is boost up the hardware on this new device to give people some reason to upgrade. But if you are buying your first Android tablet then the Galaxy Tab 2 is not a bad option. Although if I was buying a tablet right now I would lean towards the Asus models. Nevertheless, I like Samsung as a company and they make some great Android devices so we’ll stop the bashing here. Checkout the specs below and let us know what you think about the new Galaxy Tab 2.
