The Daily Show Headlines: Jon Stewart Lands on Android (cheer)

Comedy Central is by far one of my most watched channels and Jon Stewart’s the Daily Show is one of the best shows. A political news satire that brings the news exactly the way you want it. Now you can take Jon Stewart and the daily show everywhere with the brand spanking new Android app. Before you get too excited be warned that the app doesn’t include full episodes of the show. That’s to be expected because otherwise you would never watch the show. The point of the app is to keep you interested in the show so you tune in and watch.

The Daily Show app is simple with only a few options to choose. The home menu has the headline videos sorted by air date and most popular. The dates are at the top in a skinny bar that needs a UI makeover in my opinion. The guest tab provides information about previous and future guests on the show. Other video extras besides headlines include Quotes, On Topic, The Daily Show in: 60 seconds, and Correspondents Explain. You can also connect with other Comedy Central Shows in the last tab. The app provides enough teaser videos to keep you entertained but leaves you wanting more. Overall not a bad start for the app but certainly room for lots of improvement. Check out the app and let us know what you think.

Download from the Google Play Store.
