Godus now available on Android

The much anticipated God game, Godus, has finally landed in the Google Play store after previously being available only on Steam and iOS. The game, by Peter Molyneux’s UK based 22 Cans game studio, is a free-to-play title with in-app-purchases.

Godus puts you in charge of a world which you can sculpt and manipulate as you try to bring civilisation to the tribes of people you find there. You can make your followers travel between lands, with each land under the control of a different God. In this way you can play against, or with, otherĀ online players within the game.

Peter Molyneux is of course best known for classic games such as Populous, Dungeon Keeper and FableĀ and can truly be said to have invented the God genre of gaming. Godus is the first release from his UK based 22 Cans company and, if it’s an indication as to the direction that they are heading, it shouldn’t be the last title we see.
