Disney destroys the Death Star

Most of you will be familiar with the Tiny Tower game for Android and iOS by Nimblebit. You may not be so familiar with the Star Wars themed spin off Tiny Death Star which put you in charge of constructing and managing an itty-bitty wickle Death Star. Well, in a short article over at PocketGamer, Ian Marsh of Nimblebit says that Disney mysteriously yanked the Tiny Death Star from the app stores. It seems that Disney pulled the titles to concentrate on their latest offering, Star Wars Commander, a fairly decent tower defence title. Ian said “my assumption is they don’t feel it is worth it to maintain the game any longer.” You’ve got to feel for Nimblebit. Whilst it doesn’t mean the end of them by any means, Ian Marsh says Tiny Death Star was “a significant source of revenue for us, so it stings that much more.” Nimblebit knock out some solid titles so I hope that they can carry on doing what they do best.
