Drinkmate, the Android breathalyser
If you head over to Kickstarter you can help fund this fantastic idea. Drinkmate is a tiny breathalyser powered by your Android phones micro USB port. With the bundled app you can easily make sure you’re good to drive home. Of course, if you’ve been drinking at all, probably best to leave the car behind. But at least you know you’ll be legal.
Icewind Dale RPG coming to Android….some time
Hands up who likes RPG games? If that’s you then it’s likely you’ll remember the brilliant Icewind Dale RPG from the turn of this millennium. It’s very much a Balders Gate style of game with a great story, tonnes of fighting and magic and a great look. However given that the Android ports tend to come out 6 months or more after the iOS ports, and the iOS version isn’t even out, then you can see it won’t be any time soon.
Could Google knock Samsung off their track?
International Business Times have a good look at why Android One might be able to knock Samsung out from the top spot in key developing markets. Whilst I’m not sure that any force on earth right now can really knock Samsung from the global charts, the emerging markets are an area which are being served much better by newer, smaller, more geographically relevant companies.
