New Nexus 7 and Android 4.3 Announced

Today Google has gone ahead and announced the new Android 4.3 software and the launch of the new and upgraded 2013 Google Nexus 7. The tablet gets an upgrade in every spec and still keeps the price fairly low. Probably the biggest upgrade will be the high-resolution 1920 x 1200 display with 323 ppi. Google is also making the tablet available from many retail stores for walk-in purchase and online. Now let’s take a look at the details.

The new Nexus 7 has an upgraded processor with a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro and upgraded ram at 2 GB. It’s also thinner and a bit wider at 7.9 x 4.5 x 0.3 inches. You have the standard WiFi 802.11 and Bluetooth 4.0 but now there is both a rear and front facing camera. You can get the WiFi tablet in 16GB for $229 or the 32GB for $269 on Tuesday. There will also be a 32GB LTE version that will work with AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon.

I have the current Nexus 7 and have been very happy with the tablet. In fact it’s probably the best tablet that I have owned. The new Nexus 7 has great upgraded over the previous while maintaining a competitive pricing. If you are looking for a 7-inch tablet than the Nexus 7 will probably be your best option. Tell us what you think about the new Nexus 7. Will you by buying one or upgrading.
