USAJOBS: Beta App Released

It’s Memorial Day weekend here in the US and I’m sure many people are heading off to their favorite beach or destination. But rest assured that the US government is hard at work. Indeed they have released their first USAJobs app for Android in the Play Store. Now if you have ever applied to a government job then you know that everything goes through the USAJOBS website. This is a beta release companion app and for a first release it’s actually not that bad. I have a slight bit of more confidence in my government now. Okay, now for the details.

The app will let you login with your information and access some useful features. For example you’ll be able to read all your notices and saved jobs. You can review the applications that you have recently applied. If you have saved searches, those can be viewed. Lastly you’ll be able to use the app to search for jobs. All the basics that you would need in an app.

The app also has links to the USAJOBS Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube site. I personally tested the app myself and found that everything was working without any glitches. If you are on the job market and applying to government jobs then this app will be a nice addition to have with you. Checkout the app and let us know what you think about it.
