Why the iPhone 5 is Great for Android

Although Android Cowboy is primarily focused on tablets even we can’t ignore the announcement of the iPhone 5. That’s because Apple is the technology juggernaut and what they did do affects everyone else in mobile technology. Now, I have read everything out there that both Android fans and Apple fans are saying bout the new iPhone 5. The Android fans claim, and rightfully in my opinion, that the iPhone is old technology. Apple fans claim that only when a technology is worth it does Apple incorporate it. In some sense all that doesn’t really matter because we know the iPhone 5 is going to sell and will probably be the best selling Apple phone of all time. And I’m going to tell you why that’s actually the best thing for Android.

I own a Samsung Galaxy S3 and I think it’s the best phone right now and that includes the new iPhone 5. But the  reason the S3 exists and why it’s such a good phone is due to Apple. The fact that Apple can use one year old technology in their new phones and outsell every other manufacturer makes others compete. That means Samsung not only has to have cutting edge technology but also innovation to even try to get close to Apple. That’s competition at its core and the reason the S3, Note 2, Note 10.1, Transformer Prime, Kindle Fire, and all these great products exist.

Apple has with its success pushed Android to innovate and make great devices that benefits consumers. So, as an Android fan don’t get upset that Apple does so well. In fact, we should be happy because that means next year we can probably look forward to even better phones and tablets with cool innovations. Thus, as an Android fan you get to enjoy all the benefits and know that you have the best product. So here is to Apple’s successful launch of the iPhone 5 and great things to come from Android.
