TV Portal: Stream TV and Movies on Android Tablet

Watching movies and TV shows on a tablet is a great experience and one of the main uses of tablets. There are definitely plenty of options like Netflix, Hulu Plus, Play Movies, Vudu, and more but they can get pretty expensive. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative then we have the perfect app. The TV portal app let’s you stream almost any TV show or movie for free. You don’t get HD quality but for the price and options it’s a great deal.

TV portal

Now you are probably wondering how TV portal get all these shows for free. Well, TV doesn’t host any shows and is simply an app that aggregates links in a user friendly interface. Instead of searching all over the internet for shows the app makes it all available in a nice easy to use format. They also give anyone the option to have their links taken off TV portal if they desire. With that out of the way let’s get to the app.

TV portal

The interface is pretty simple and nothing too fancy. You can search for shows and add them to favorites. You’ll need an external video player app in addition to TV portal. The app recommends MX Player or BSPlayer but others will work as well. I found the free MX Player worked without any issues. There are some restrictions with the app that can be removed for $1.99 which is well worth it. In the free version you can only stream 2 TV shows per 6 hours and there are also ads. If you are going to use this often it’s well worth the in-app purchase. What’s nice is that you can also use the app on your phone and Google TV as well.

Overall the app works as advertised and most of the links for the shows are working. Deadlinks can be emailed to the developer and they are always updating as well. I’ve been pretty happy with the app and really glad to be watching some of my favorites shows since I don’t have cable. Give the app a try and let us know about your experience in the comment section.
