Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 Android Tablets

Recently Michael Dell was able to gain control of his company back and go private. This will mean a new direction for the company and tablets will probably be part of that equation. Dell isn’t know for Android tablets or at least not yet. Maybe a step in that direction is the announcement of a pair of new Intel based Android tablets. The Venue 7 and Venue 8 are low prices budget tablets with lots of competition in the market. Let’s take a look at what Dell has to offer.

The two tablets are 7 and 8 inch Android tablets running on an Intel Atom processor with 2GB of RAM. Both devices are running 1280 x 800 resolution screen with 16GB of storage and higher. The tablets are running Android 4.2.2 and include front and rear-facing camera. The tablets will be price at $149 for the Venue 7 and $179 for the Venue 8. They will be available for purchase on October 18th on Dell’s website.

Clearly these are budget tablets and are not mean to blow anyone away with specs. There are lots of tablets at this price range and with similar hardware. I’m not sure this will gain any traction in the tablet market but they may just be test runs for Dell. If they are really going to make headway in the tablet market, they will need to come up with something more innovative. But for now if you like Dell and looking for a budget tablet then checkout the Venue 7 and Venue 8. Let us know what you think in the comment sections and if you are planning on buying one.
