Vine App Arrives on Amazon Appstore

If you are into the social world then you’ve definitely heard of Vine. The company was bought out by Twitter and in a nutshell it’s the Twitter model applied to videos. Users get to record videos of up to 7 seconds and share them with others. There is no doubt this market will grow and that’s apparent since Instagram has also added the same kind of service. Previously the Vine app was only available for iOS device but this June it finally made it to Android. Now it has also migrated to the Amazon Appstore and available for Kindle Fire HD devices.

I think the key to the popularity of the short video will be the length as it’s not clear what’s the optimal video length. Twitter never had any competition so once they decided on the 140 characters they have no reason to change. But Vine has competition from Instagram and they may be others that enter the market as well. We’ll all have to watch and see how it plays out on the social world. But for now enjoy Vine for your Kindle Fire and Android devices.
