How to Unroot Kindle Fire HD

Rooting the Kindle Fire HD is something that many users want to do. It gives you access to the Google Play Store and thousands of more apps. But there are times when you need to unroot your device. That could be if you decide to sell your tablet or give it to someone else. You may also need to get service on the device and send it back in its original condition. So today we are going to cover an easy method of removing root on the Kindle Fire HD.

The easiest way to remove root is to actually use the same program that was used to root the Kindle Fire HD. If you run the Bin4ry program then there is an option for unrooting. Simply choose option “x” and in seconds you will lose root access. Watch the video for a demonstration of the process.

SuperSU

But one thing to note is that the unroot program will not remove the Superuser app even though root access is lost. If you want to remove the Superuser app along with root access then we recommend updating to the SuperSU app first. You can install the app from the Play Store or sideload it (SuperSu.apk). Then open the app and follow procedure for normal installation and removal of old app. After updating you can run the unroot program and it will remove SuperSU and unroot as well. That’s it and pretty easy. Let us know if you have any questions or comments.
