Google Glass at CERN

When you have a new technology there is always positives and negatives to speak about. It takes people time to adjust to new technology and figure out how to use it best. In regards to Google Glass, privacy is the main issue since it is very easy to take pictures and video. That is certainly something to take note and figure out as Google Glass gets into the hands of more users. But today we want to cover something very positive about Glass and its enormous ability to teach. Thanks to Andrew Vanden Heuvel who took Google Glass to CERN and provided a beautiful example of teaching and how powerful a teaching tool Glass can be.

The ability to do first person video and Google hangout makes Glass a powerful teaching tool. It can be used to help students experience something that they personally would never have the chance themselves. That experience can change their perspective and inspire them to be great. That’s what Andrew tried to do as he was invited to CERN in Switzerland and go to show his students first hand. This is just one example and you can imagine much more with Google Glass. So watch the video below and hopefully it can inspire you as well.
