Polaroid 7-inch Kid Tablet

It seems that these days whenever I see kids they seem to be playing with a tablet. The introduction of low-cost tablets like the Kindle Fire, Nexus 7, and iPad mini has made this a possibility. But as the adults we like to play with tablet as well if we can pry them away from the kids. That’s why kid only tablets are becoming more popular and today Polaroid has released their 7-inch Android kid tablet. A kid tablet makes sense as they are made more durable to withstand the bumps and bruises they are put through. But more importantly they allow the adults to better control the content on the device.

The Polaroid tablet is an Android 4.0 with modest specs but at a low price of $149.99. It has 8GB of storage, 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 2-megapixel camera, USB port, WiFi and an SD card slot for extended memory. It does come pre-loaded with 3 top rated learning Apps and 10 Dr. Seuss & Smithsonian interactive books along with Nook bookstore and reader. As expected, the tablet includes a safe web browser from Maxthon and parental controls. Those are decent specs and a good price if you want to get a kid only tablet. But is it enough to lure consumers from the Kindle Fire which heavily promotes its tablet as kid friendly. Checkout it out and let us know what you think.
