Chrome Beta Channel for Android

Google has promised that they intend to unify their Chrome browser version across PC, Mac, and Mobile in early 2013. As a step towards that goal, today they released the Chrome Beta channel for Android phones and tablets. The regular Chrome for Android app has not been getting updated as regularly as expected. But now if you want the latest update you can install the Chrome Beta for any device running Android 4.0 or higher. This app is in beta so don’t expect everything to work smoothly.

What’s nice about this Chrome Beta app is that you can install it along side the regular Chrome for Android and get the best of both worlds. The current Chrome Beta release has all the speed, security and other improvements that have been landing on Chrome’s other platforms. You can also expect that the beta will update more frequently with improvement and features. I personally tried the app and found that websites loaded much faster than the regular Chrome app. I had no issues connecting to my account and didn’t run into any problems. Test out the app for yourself and let us know how you like it.
