Archos may not be a name that you are familiar with currently but if you are looking to buy a tablet then you should get to know them. At CES 2013 they have announced their Titanium line of tablets in 7 inch, 8 inch, 9.7 inch, and 10.1 inches. These are all low budgets tablet ranging from $119 for the Archos 70 Titanium to $249 for the Archos 97 Titanium HD. But don’t let the price fool you as these tablets are looking great and packing some punch. Specially the Archos 97 Titanium HD which is positioned to compete with the iPad and Nexus 10.
All the Archos tablets will have an aluminum casing which should give them a nice feel and look. The Archos 7 inch at $119 is positioned to compete with the Kindle Fire while the 8 inch at $169 will be similar in size to the iPad mini at a significantly lower price. All the tablet will be running Android 4.1 and have 1080p video decoding. The 7 inch and 8 inch tablet will have a 1.6GHz dual-core processor while the 9.7 inch and 10.1 inch will have a quad-core processor. But the one tablet that really stands out from the four is the Archos 97 Titanium HD which will have a higher resolution display at 2048 x 1536 pixels. This should compete very well against the Nexus 10 and iPad mini, specially at the low price of $249. Certainly Archos has put together a good line up of tablets that is worth a look. No actual released date is announced but it is expected to be available some time in March.
