Acer Iconia Tab B1-A71: $150 7-inch Budget Tablet

The Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2013 is now in full swing and as expected the tablet announcement are beginning to roll in. One of the first tablets to be announced is a low budget 7-inch tablet from Acer with a $150 price tag. It doesn’t have the best specs but they are descent and that’s what you would expect from the low price.

The tablet comes with stock Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software, Mediatek dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, 8GB storage, VGA front-facing camera and 1024×600 display. Although the storage is low it will have a microSD™ slot for expanded storage which even the Nexus 7 doesn’t include. The tablet has been built to be comfortably used in one hand with a triangular corner grip and easily portable. Overall not a bad tablet but competition is tough and I’m sure we’ll get more devices like this announced in the next few days.
