The new 7″ Kindle Fire HD is now available for order and with it comes the new high-resolution 1280 x 800 HD screen with polarizing filter and anti-glare technology. Many of the previous games and apps will work on the new tablet but slowly apps are being released that are optimized for the new HD screen. So we’ve gone hunting in the Amazon Appstore for all the note worthy games that are not just fun to play but also provide the graphics for the new HD display. All you have to do is download and have fun.
Bad Piggies Premium HD ($2.99)
Rovio, the makers behind the hit game Angry Birds, are back with their new game Bad Piggies. This time you get to help those poor piggies that were always getting squashed by the birds. This is a puzzle game in which you get to build contraptions and machines to help the piggies escape. The graphics are great as usual for a Rovio game and lots of fun for kids and adults.

Asphalt 7: Heat ($0.99)
This is my all time favorite racing game on Android including the previous Asphalt 6. There are 60 different cars to choose from which you’ll have to earn by winning races and earning money and stars. Like the previous game, you race in real cities like Hawaii, Paris, London, Miami and Rio in 15 different tracks in day and night. There are 6 different game modes from the traditional top 3 to survive and more. You can compete with up to 5 friends locally or online and compare stats and achievements. If you love racing games then this one is a no-brainer.

The Oregon Trail: American Settlers (free)
If you are of a certain age then you definitely played the original Oregon Trail game on the PC. The concept is simply to help the band of Americans to make it out to the west. Now the Oregon Trail game can help renew the passion of previous users and help make new fans. You get to build your community of settlers with buildings, livestock, crops and more. You’ll encounter obstacles along the way and even meet historic characters. This game will have you playing for hours on straight.

Madden NFL 12 ($4.99)
Everyone knows and has at some point played the Madden NFL game on PC, PS3, or Xbox 360. This the only NFL sports game that you would want to play and now it’s available on the Kindle Fire. Obviously the controls will take a bit of getting used to versus having a six-axis controller but in the end it’s the same fun game we all love. You have all the NFL teams that you can play in exhibition or season mode. Dial up your favorite play and conquer the season.

Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek ($1.99)
Enigmatis is a hidden object puzzle adventure game with great graphics. It is similar to Adventures of Tin Tin that came out on Android at the same time of the movie. The story is that you wake up without your memory of how you ended up at Maple Creek. You’ll go through different scenes and find objects and clues that will help you get your memory back. A great adventure game that easy to pick up and play for hours or a short period of time.
