Another day goes by and another Android tablet is announced. I’m all for choice but I definitely feel like the market is getting flooded with too many tablets. Now Best Buy has decided to join the fun and have announced their own tablet through Insignia which is their in-house brand. The tablet is called the Insignia Flex and it’s not clear if flex actually means something or not. All that is known for sure is that it’s going to be an Android 4.0 tablet with dual-core 1GHz processor, 9.7″ screen and a ten hour battery life. This was announced on their Facebook page with a photo and a promise that it was coming in one month.
Insignia products are known for their low price and with those specs they would have to be. It’s not clear how successful this can be in a market with the Nexus 7, new Kindle Fire HD, and probably the coming iPad mini. There is an appetite for cheaper tablets but people still want good quality at the end. But I’m sure somebody will buy it, specially if it has a very low competitive price. Let us know what you think about this product.
