The Google I/O 2012 kicked off today with the announcement of Android 4.1 called Jelly Bean. This was leaked ahead of time and basically verified with a statue of Jelly Bean appearing at the headquarters of Google yesterday. Along with this announcement came news of the Google branded tablet built by Asus called the Nexus 7 running that new Jelly Bean software.
The hardware definitely packs a big punch and is no doubt the best 7 inch tablet device that you can get for a measly $199. Google is really targeting the Kindle Fire with this tablet and they have done a good job. We’ll see how Amazon fire backs as they are rumored to unveil their next generation tablet next month.
