The Android tablets keep on coming and the latest to the field is the Acer Iconia Tab A700. Acer has many other tablets but this would be considered their top-end device. At a pre-sale price of $449 you get a 10.1 inch device packing a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU with the latest Android 4.0 and 32GB storage in silver and black. What makes the Acer A700 different then other devices is the high resolution 1920 x 1200 HD screen making it a 1080p device . This is significantly higher resolution then the standard 1280 x 800 found on other tablets like the Asus Transformer Prime. Other specs are pretty standard and include 1GB RAM, 5MP rear camera, and 1MP front camera. These are certainly high-end specs at a competitive price compared to other Android tablets but the question is whether the high resolution screen is enough to make it stand out. I’m personally happy to finally see a higher resolution Android tablet screen on the market and hopefully we will see more in the future. If you’re looking to buy a new tablet then the Acer A700 should be on your short list. Full specs are below including pre-sale link from Acer.
