Pulse news app is an Android market editor’s choice for accessing all your news and it’s free. It has over 1 million downloads and is one of the most popular news apps. This is also an app that greatly benefits from the increased size of the tablet format.
On each page of the Pulse app you have several scrolling horizontal blocks of news. Each of the horizontal news feeds can be customized to your preference of news source like Time, NYT, Wall Street Journal, etc. You can add or delete news feeds on one page plus you have the options of several pages. This allows you to group several news sources on a topic to each page. You can also add feeds from your Facebook and integrate with Google Reader. Sharing options to Facebook, twitter, and email are only a click away.
One of my favorite features of Pulse is that clicking on any article brings up a new window pane in the same page allowing the options of viewing a simple text summary of the news article or the full webpage. This feature prevents you from leaving the app and having to go to the browser for the full articles. This is a great advantage and one of the reasons I use this app almost exclusively. The articles can be downloaded for offline viewing or saved to your favorite account.
